~*~ Paper Hearts ~*~ ~*~ If
I had a paper heart I would set it free Then my heart would be dismissed from any feelings of pain A little tear
could be taped and wrinkles could be ironed out Into the wind I would send my heart Blowing away loves suffering and
heartache I could replace this heart with another one I would just cut it out of paper To start over from day one
But could a paper heart truly feel the way I do? I think I would rather keep my heart Accepting the trials it has
been through It has served a life time Seeing love and pain that has come and gone It also holds a special spot
for each of my once true loves I would never want a paper heart that could easily be replaced One that would let the
memories of my unforgotten loves go blowing in the wind

Ancient Angel
I found an ancient
angel, She floats upon a wall. Not many folks have seen her, She’ll come whenever you call.
She is guarded
by the spirits, If you seek her you will find; She will only appear for you, If you have an open mind.
When
you finally see her, You’ll wish that she would talk; But the only way she’ll speak, Is when you take
the walk.
She believes in only truth, And if you should betray; She’ll hide herself in the shadows, And
everything turns gray.
She was sent here from heaven, On that you can depend. But if you ever harm the earth, The
earth she will defend.
If you should wish to please her, Tread lightly on her ground. Share truth and good with
others, And your soul to her is found.
When you reach your peak of faith, She’ll keep you in her
heart. She will show you mercy, Your souls will never part.
If your faith turns into loyalty, With her your
soul will stay. And when darkness takes the light, She will still show you the way.
I found an ancient angel, She
lives upon a wall. I’ll honor what she stands for, And I will not fall.

Antique Roses |

Dried antique rose petals rolling down windy street
Withered-- beauty stolen doused in poisionous
venom tearing sensitivity-- soflty weeps
Its fragrance forced from its innocence
Rose garden "promises" while
seething in selfish intent
Destructive ruins become pronounced becoming Old before its time
Never
looking for The roses
But--
I Did want Them
Love died
Before it tried
Antique
rose petals
Billowing through--
My mind

Rebirth
The radiant sun shone down upon her face, But she was oblivious to its warmth. A gentle
breeze caressed her porcelain skin, But she was numb to its touch. The delightful melodies of birds filled the air, But
she was deaf to their sweet song.
Nothing penetrated her aching heart, Except for the cruel fact that it had been
broken. She sat there, numb to the world. No longer caring, no longer feeling. Eyes red and distant, a stream of
tears, Worked their way down her cheek.
She glanced up as a shadow fell over her. There he stood, smiling at
her. A single rose in his hand, she took it Automatically, without thinking. He thanked her for sharing her beauty, And
then turning, he walked away.
Blinking, as if suddenly awakening From a dream, she glanced around. But the man
had disappeared. As she stood there searching, She felt the sun on her face, the wind. The air was filled with the
chorus of birds.
No, she whispered. Thank YOU for showing me how to live again.
